Spousal Job Search Assistance?

Okay, we've been here for years and now we're looking for a job for the wife. She has had help with her CV, talked to many headhunting firms and sent her CV to many companies and not even getting shortlisted for anything. This has gone on for 6 months now. She's applied for 43 jobs since August last year and not a single bite. Each of the roles were things she could have done blindfolded in the States but here she's not even considered.

She did work a couple of years in marketing for a small company in London. She's legal to work here and her CV states that this is the case. Neither of us are certain what's standing in the way of her getting the job she wants. It could just be timing or the market or some other factor than her CV or experience, but it's difficult to get a sense of that without some outside perspective.

Can anyone recommend any sort of job-search-coaching company or service in the UK? She's a mid-level manager with a background in marketing, PR and sales in the both the beverage market and within the non-profit sector. She has worked for a number of blue chip firms in the past and is just a couple of months from getting a Masters in Psychology.

Any guidance would be appreciated.
