Ok, we are getting close and its looking very real. Still only looking at standard company policies, nothing specific to us yet.
But, it looks like we will be negotiating household goods shipment and storage.
For those of you that are been there, done that, how would you approach the move if you had it to do over?
What would you have sold before you left?
What would you have put in storage in US?
What would you have brought with you?
Our assumptions are family of four, one teenage boy and one toddler. We own our house and will probably rent it. Thinking we will get about 10k lbs of HHG to ship and a "reasonable" size storage unit. Also repatriation and return shipment of HHG (weight not to exceed original shipment). Probably at least a 3 yr assignment.
I am looking around my and don't even know where to start. I have the urge to do a brutal purge and get rid of almost everything and just ship basics. But worry that I will regret it when I come back and have to replace.
Advice appreciated!!!!
