EMBARASSING QUESTION... BUT, MUST ASK.

It was hard for me to ask this question, as I am not proud of my financial situation.

My company is sending me to London in the next two to three months. They will pay for everything, and will provide corporate housing for about 90 days.

Here's my problem. My credit is shot. Shot straight to hell. I'm not assuming. I positively know.

The apartment I live in now is a great, because when I moved in, my credit was pretty good. I will not be able to clean up my credit in such a short period of time, and to do that I would need to make much more money. So, I have to pay my creditors what I can, when I can.

My question is because of my poor credit, will I be able to get an apartment in London at all? If so, will I have to settle for an apartment in a neighborhood that will result in my watching my back when I come and go?

Based on what I know, I should be able to afford rent up to 2,400 (USD) a month.

I have never been abroad before in my life, and am trying to do as much research as I can. But, I feel that my research is for not, as I'm assuming no one will accept my presently poor credit.

Any advise anyone can provide would be helpful.

Thank you.
