Dutch Girlfriend moving to UK (6months approx)

My Dutch girlfriend is looking at moving to the the UK to stay with me for a period of around 6months.
She is soon to be 20 years old, i am 21 myself.
We plan for her to move here around Feb 08.

From what i can tell so far:

she wont need a visa to enter the country as she is an EU national

No work permit required

She will be looking for work whilst here as we intend to rent a flat together for the 6months duration of her stay.
If im right she'll need to apply for a National Insurance number.

Can she do this once she has found work? or does it need to be aquired beforehand.

I've looking at property around my local area for 1 bed flats/ studio apartments the prices seem to be around 500-700 per month but these dont say they include any extra costs like council tax, tv licence etc.

Any ideas what i could expect to pay extra ontop of my monthly rent?

The area we will be living in is Farnborough, Hampshire.

As she will only be staying for 6months would she be covered under the nhs?
And would we need to register her with a local GP?

She recently passed her dutch driving test so has a full NL driving licence, would she be able to drive a car in the UK aslong as she was insured on her dutch licence?

Theres probably other things im missing but im trying to find all the info i can right now.

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks
