We are thinking of moving to UK-London from India, where currently my husband is on an ex-pat package from his US employer. He has received an offer to move to UK but with a local contract. He will get a increase of about 50% in his base salary in USD terms and a one time signing bonus. I am familiar with the current exchange rate of USD 2 to UK Pound. Since the school and housing would be on our own with no COLA etc, would love to have some opinion on if the local contract is fair. Don't have any problems of not having any big savings but definitely don't want to shell out from our pocket. Thanks in advance.
