Chicago to London

Hi,

Thanks to everybody for the great information on this forum. I have need for some advicce of my own. I'm considering taking a new job in London. This won't be an expat assignment, it is stricly a move for a new job with a London-based company. As a result, a relocation package won't be included but they are generously offering to help out with some temporary housing and moving expenses. My main question is living expenses. I currently live in Chicago and make 130K USD with a 25% annual bonus. Salary in London will be $85K GBP with 20% bonus. My wife will be making the move with me and we have no kids. We plan on living in Zone 1 or maybe Zone 2. Any advice on how that salary in London will compare with my salary in Chicago is much appreciated. Also, are there any other expenses I should consider? Thanks again!
