Just Decided Chicago to London - need advice

I have just decided to move to London from Chicago - I have enrolled in a course at the London School of Computer Education for a year. Anyone ever heard of this school and know if it is legitimate? Also, in regards to getting an apartment - I found this site - http://www.londonrelocationservices.com/ - do you think this would be ok to use? It just seems as though it will be a lot easier - I was just planning on staying in a hotel for about a week when I first get there and hoping to get an apartment settled that quickly - is this reasonable, it sounds like from the site it is, but you never know...? Also, I'm planning on transferring all of my money to HSBC and hoping to use it both in the US and UK - anyone have experience with that? Also, I have a phone through AT&T - I am still under a contract and was wondering if anyone has kept their us phones and just added an international feature? Also, any general advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
Annie
