London Expat Package Help !

Wow so happy to find this forum and hoping to get some advise from all of you .

My Husband was just offered a position in London and asked by his company to propose a reasonable package .
We have NO idea what to ask for .
Here are the facts:

We live in San Francisco.
He makes 250k a year
We would like to live in a comfortable place comparable to our current apt (rented) . 2 bedroom with garden 2100 a month (yes its a good deal)
We would like to live in a lively , yet nice neighborhood , 1 - 2 bedroom.
No children, so no school worries.
What should he ask for $$$ wise to be in a similar situation?
What about health insurance ?
What would the total taxable amount be from the US & UK ?
Should we contact a relocation specialist ? Are they worth it ?
I have read that everything is double . is this true ?
