Insurance, pension, tax etcc. ?

Hello everyone,

I'm 25 years old from Italy and I will soon be working for a london based company.

By reading the work contract there couple financial stuff that I don't understand

There first is the insurances. How does it work in the UK ? It is said that my company is part of a "group medical insurance scheme AVIVA" and it will pay the subscription to cover me

They also provide me with free permanent health insurance, what does that mean ? If I'm sick can I go to the doctor for free?

In the contract there is also a prt talking about pension scheme? What is it ? My company will contribute twice as mush as my contribution (so if I contribute 2% they contribute 4%). I'm "obligated" to contribute (knowing that I will leave UK in 4-5 years ?) ??

And last thing, I don't have a National Insurance number, How can I get one ?

Is there anything else I should know about UK taxes ?

thank you
