Establishing credit before we move from the US to London

Hi all,

Looking to make our move as smooth as possible. Would be nice to do as much as I can before getting there. Other than opening a bank account (Barclay's/HKSB) that would show good financials what else can I do? Also, my husband will be working in Stockley Park and the children hopefully going to school at ACS Hillingdon so I am looking for a nice, safe family (and dog) friendly neighborhood that won't be to far from either location.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
