Hi all,
Considering moving overseas from Australia in the distant future if all things go according to plan. I am looking to live in the UK when I retire but have realised that there is a condition placed on moving there even in retirement that requires me to have a connection to the UK. Is this right? That is need to have relatives or some kind of established relationship with the UK in order to retire there for a couple of years?
I find it interesting that this would be the case as I can retire anywhere in the world (and my original relatives about 200 years ago came from England) without having to have that connection but the UK requires it. Can anyone assist with information as to whether or not this is a really important factor in retiring to the UK?
Thanks
