Cash and Investment transfers

Hi all,
I would like to know how easy it is to transfer Cash/Investments/Retirement Annuities from South Africa.

I have asked this in other country forums to get an idea of what is best.

I am sure cash/bank transfers is straight forward but costs/fees are a big problem.Investments? Cash out and transfer?Once Financially Emigrated- I have seen very expensive fees/costs associated to this.
Can I do this myself?Any help or shared experiences will be great.
