Working in Uruguay

I'm a swedish copywriter/project manager planning a move to Uruguay. For someone within the field of marketing and related fields - or any field for that matter - where should I begin?

I dont speak spanish - but I intend to learn. Is it common with english speaking positions? Is there any major American/European companies present in Uruguay?

I could really use some advice.
