Progressive Social Laws in Uruguay?

Hi everyone! My name's Kate and I'm a student at the Graduate School of Journalism at University of California, Berkeley.

I've been doing some preliminary research on Uruguay's recent surge in progressive laws--right to change gender, adopt as a gay couple, etc etc. And I'm wondering to people planning on moving to Uruguay:
