Most peaceful country in S. America

Uruguay made top spot in the Global Peace Index report for S. America although got a lower score than last year due to an increase in police and security forces.

This is not always a plus for some folk though on the Chile Forum

"Yea, I have to admit that Uruguay should have the top spot over Chile, because it is just one of the most mind numbingly boring countries I have ever been to. I really felt the boredom was life threatening, and I was only there about a week."

I am happy here though although I agree you have to make your own fun as there is not a lot to do if you live in a smaller town or in the country.
