This question was originally posted inside another thread by JanusUY, but since this is a very broad topic I thought it best to make a new topic just for this.
.....But what I cannot determine from afar are things like: the business environment overall; solid market opportunities in service and product sectors; and from my experience the all-important way in which the legal system operates? Here in the US I've had it work for me, and I've also had it used as a weapon against me. So a specific question I'll pose is, "Is if the UY legal system fair, just, quick and cost-effective (even fast and cheap?)??? Or, can it be easily manipulated, gamed (ex., favoritism of one party over other) or possibly used as leverage or a weapon by a Plaintiff (ie, in the US many a Defendant settlement has been reached with Plaintiff parties proferring frivolous claims because the cost to defend with zero cost recovery is even higher)?
