La Sequia

This is the third drought in a row and makes the previous two droughts look mild. There is little Uruguayan fruit in the stores especially citrus. This will hit the agrarian sector, crucial for Uy, very hard. The cattle and horses that graze on hundreds of Ha's around us are very bony, most unpleasant to see.
This video (practice Castilian) starts at a vineyard on the IB near Piriápolis:

It is currently 103ºF. We feel as if we have moved from Santa Barbara (cool coast) to Woodland Hills (hottest inland)! Thank Goddess for good wells. In a declared drought emergency like this we are having to give water to our neighbors to save their plants. Esta complicado!
