Hi all,
Does anyone know of any bilingual public schools in Punta del Este? My 10 year old is entering 6th grade (US) and we are planning a move there. My husband is Uruguayan but has been living in the US for the past 50 years. He did some exploratory research on a couple of trips there last year and seemed optimistic that our son would not have an issue integrating and succeeding in school despite an extremely rudimentary knowledge of Spanish. I however am inclined to disagree and am worried that it will affect him adversely. Right now he excels in school and is a very social boy, but with the language barrier… i am uncertain of the outcome.
Private schools are not an option for now, unfortunately.
Any advice/information would be much appreciated.
Thanks! — AG
