Japan to Vietnam: Shipping advice needed

I will be moving from Japan to Ho Chi Minh City this July. I am having a difficult time figuring out how to ship my clothes, books and some personal items without going bankrupt. Has anyone tried shipping to HCMC by Japan Post? Any advice would be appreciated. Shipping by sea is fine for me. Thank you!
