Extended stay in the jungle

My wife and I plan to visit Vietnam again in January and plan to stay for at least the three months allowed on the visa. My problem is we are both advancing in age and have health issues. In the US and areas where US forces have medical facilities it is easy for us to get medical assistance covered by my retirement entitlements or by medicare. However I don't believe medicare or military retirement entitles me to any care in Vietnam nor do I believe I can be reembersed for any medical treatment I might get while in Vietnam. I was wondering if there are any other retired US military or dependents of retirees that have solved this problem or does everyone pay Vietnamese doctors for their medical needs. If so, can you recommend a facility for us to contact. We do have all our immunizations current but after my first trip back to Vietnam in 39 years I became ill in thre US and was hospitolized for a type of dysintary caused by improperly cooked chicken most likely from a commercial establishment I won't mention. I just want to make sure I can access medical care for the both of us. One other topic. How do I buy a large motorcycle (300 cc or larger) and how can I get liscenced to drive it? I am an accomplished rider and have driven in the US and Japan. Thanks. Mike Green
