How much currency can you legally take out of Vietnam

Thanks for replies from my previous post regarding sending money from Vietnam. I am still wondering how I can do this electronically. I am not working for an employer so cannot use a Bang Luong.

It is not feasible to take the whole amount I am referring to with me in cash, but could someone tell me the limit of cash I can take out of Vietnam. I used to fill in a currency/customs form on the plane before landing but have not done so on my last few visits.
