Banking in Viet Nam

I will be moving to Viet Nam in October of this year.

I was hoping to find a bank with branches in both the United States and Viet Nam. My plan was to have an account, in the United States, and then open a second account, with the same bank, in Viet Nam. Then I could transfer funds from my U.S. Account to my Vietnamese account on line.

I understand that Citibank and USBC both have branches in both countries.

I currently live in Minnesota and, unfortunately neither bank has a branch in my state.

Does anyone have an idea on how to easily transfer funds (such as social security) from here to Viet Nam easily, quickly and cheaply?
