Just to let you know that according to the new Vietnamese Labour Code, an employment contract is needed for all Vietnamese workers and I think this is great news!
3 years ago I had some trouble with one of my maid. In fact, she left my 7 years old grandson alone in my house all day without any supervision. She came back at night. The day after she was gone.
Without a contract detailing the obligations and responsibilities of both employers and employees, I was unable to do anything against her. So that is why, from 2010, I asked a law firm to make contracts for each employee I have had. I advice you to do the same, to protect you from dishonest people, moreover now that is compulsory!!
