My wife and I are bringing our 30 something married son and daughter and daughters best girlfriend to HCMC in March. I've been back a couple times and the wife has been back many times. My concern here is what to do for the 8 days and nights they will be staying in Vietnam. I want the kids to have a great time and visit with the side of their family that they have never communicated with nor even new who they were. I would like your thoughts on where to go, what to see and what to shop for. They will be living in our house in a small jungle village in the Delta near My Tho. I have a plan for a day trip to Vung Tao and shopping at the big mall in Saigon plus a boat ride on the Mekong. Any suggestions would be great. I only know the Cam Rhan Bey area slightly and lived in Saigon for about 2 and a half years but that was over 40 years ago when it was booze, babes and bullets so am really a novice when it comes to what to do and where to go. Don't want excitement, just beautiful experiences, looking, dining, shopping, enough to fill in the 5 or 6 days we have nothing planned. My son wants to get a special tattoo of what he says is a unique Vietnamese dragon. Does anyone know of a place where he can get tattoos, either in HCMC or My Tho?
