No green space....

I have been offered a job in Hanoi. I would be bringing my two children with me and I'm very concerned whether this move would be right for them. We spend all our spare time outdoors - in the woods, on the beach etc. I have read a lot that Hanoi doesn't have a lot of green space and even if it did, it would be too hot to spend time outside. What is available for children in Hanoi? Also, how do you travel around? Apparently walking is taking your life in your own hands which, if it's just me is fine, but with two young children... Any help appreciated,
