Looking for expat assistance

Hi everyone,
I am looking for someone who can advise me. I am thinking of moving to Vietnam after spending 20 years in Thailand.
Presently living in UK. Freelance German-English translator semi-retired.

IS there someone here who can advise me on the steps I need to take to make the transition smooth, i.e. visas, cost of renting house/condo in decent area of HCMC, food, expat community, transport. cars/bikes Wifi, infrastructure etc.

Would be very grateful for any reliable info
