Married a VN citizen, have questions about my status in the US

Doing my taxes and planning a trip to US, my home country, with my VN wife made me realize that I may not have covered all my bases back home. I've been in VN for several years but I still use a US address for banking and government stuff. And I filed my taxes as single.
I could use some advice on the right way to file taxes and other matters. For example: Am I expected to file some papers in the US to document my marriage? Other than apply for a visa for my wife, what do I need to do to make our trip legal and adminstratively easy.? How long can I continie to use a US address? Maybe I don't know all the questions.
