Hot Water/showers a rarity???

Hi all,
I have just read in several traveler's blogs that HOT WATER for showers is NOT readily available in Nicaragua?
Surely this cannot be true.

Darrell? Anyone? I am...stunned.
I lived 22 years in Palm Beach and spent much time in Key West and it's quite hot down there but I still needed hot water to have a warm if not hot shower. Who can shower in cold water?

I'm freaking out a bit with this new piece of data...
