This recipe is from Berta (our housekeeper that comes 2x/wk)
Gallo pinto
Ingredientes
•? Frijoles rojos frescos (de mercado) no comprar pre-empaquetados en la tienda
•? Arroz de grano grande
•? El aceite
•? 1 Cebolla Mediana
•? 2 Piezas de ajo
•? Sal al gusto
Preparación
en la mañana:
1)? Ordenar los frijoles y quitar malas. Enjuagar muy bien.
2) Frijoles se cocinan con un poco de sal y los ajos. Cocine hasta que se dore. Añadir agua si es necesario. Dejar en reposo, para más tarde en el día.
3) Preparar el arroz de acuerdo con las instrucciones del paquete, añade unas rodajas de cebolla. Dejar en reposo, para más tarde en el día.
Por la noche:
4) Utilice sartén con un poco de aceite y saltear la cebolla picada hasta que esté dorado.
5) Usar una cuchara para retirar frijoles rojos, dejando el jugo en los pan/contenedor.
6) Coloque los frijoles en la sartén para freír con cebolla, durante 5 minutos.
7) Ponga el arroz en la misma sartén, añadir un poco de sal. Tapa la olla y deja que hierva a fuego lento hasta que caliente.

Ingredients
• fresh red beans (from the market) Don’t buy pre-packaged at the grocery store
• large grain rice
• oil
• 1 medium onion
• 2 pieces of garlic
• Salt to taste
Preparation
1) Sort beans and take out bad ones. Rinse thoroughly.
2) Cook the beans with a little salt and garlic cloves. Cook until tender. Then set aside as it tastes better when it sits for one day.
3) Cook rice according to package directions, adding some onion for flavor. This should be made in advance and set aside as it tastes better when it sits one day.
4) Take a pan with a little oil and saute the chopped onion until golden.
5) Use a slotted spoon to scoop out beans, leaving the juice in the pan / bowl.
6) Put the beans in the pan to fry 5 minutes.
7) Put the rice in the same pan and add a little salt. Cover the pan and leave on low until well heated throughout.
