How to Get Rid of Tarantulas

Is it tarantula season?

I know we've had mariposa season in August ... they came into the house by the droves.

Anyway, my landlord claims he can get rid of those gigantic black tarantulas by spraying the gardens. NOTE: I know of NO spray that kills a spider. Never heard of such a thing!

Does anybody know if my landlord is correct about ridding tarantulas from coming into the house by spraying the gardens and foliage?
