We went to the shore of Lake Managua for lunch today. It was sweet. We were curious to see what was going on down there as the Alcaldia is really working on the malecon. Someone is doing a great job.
In the afternoon it is a family place, but we were told that at night it is a party place.
There are two boats that tour the lake. We had a great lunch in a very relaxing atmosphere and strolled the lake. We want to return for a lake tour. The lake is bigger than I had imagined and much different from Lake Nicaragua.
If you haven't been there, check it out. It is a straight shot down from Plaza Inter
and well worth the few minutes it takes to get there.
You have to go thru a gate to get into Puerto Allende and pay an entrance fee. It is very clean and well tended.
