Buying property - in town or in the countryside?

I am searching through the properties to get an idea and am astonished to find some houses admidst a rather huge plantation of trees, but obviously some 50-100 yards away from neighbours.

Some of them are not even equipped with security grids at the windows. Of course, the properties in the countryside are much less expensive than for example in Granada where the prices seem to explode.

What is your experience and estimation? Being a single lady - would this not be too risky ?
On the other hand: Is house-sharing commonly practiced in Nicaragua,
I mean if I purchase a house, would it be probable to find someone to rent 1 or 2 rooms?

Thanks for your comments!
