getting my bf a tourist visa

i'm a US citizen and my boyfriend has a nica passport and has been living in guatemala, so he has no 'strong ties' to nica. i want him to come to the US for the summer and didn't realize he could have difficulty getting a tourist visa.

we are talking about getting married and do not know where we will settle. my friend is an immigration attorney and does not want us to jeapordize our future by telling too many fibs on his tourist visa application.

how hard is the tourist visa application process? he does not have a job in nica, but he does have an address he can use. and i have money.

while funds aren't unlimited, i do not mind paying whatever fees necessary to make this happen.

any suggestions?
