Caribbean NIcaragua

I usually go to the Caribbean side of Mexico (Cancun, Riviera Maya). I love the weather there and the sea temperature. We are considering several countries to move to and Nicaragua came up as one of the possibiities. I am in western Canada and simply put we cannot longer take the winters which go from Nov to June in various degrees. Has anyone had any experience living in San Juan del Norte for example? Thanks in advance!
