Sorry I did not know how to add a new question to my previous question so I created a new topic!
So far everyone has been so helpful with their advice. Thank you so much!
We will be in Cancun until Jan. 10 and then we are thinking of catching a bus to Belize as someone already suggested. Cancun-Belize and then a plane to Managua (any bandidos on the road?). Does anyone know if there is a bus going directly from Cancun-Belize-Nicaragua by the coast?
Anyway, if above is not possible, we would take a plane Belize-Managua.
staying around in Managua for about three days and drive around to see lagoons, volcanoes, small towns, Granada, Leon etc. Is three days enough time to see all that?
Then, we would like to go towards San Juan del Sur. Any places of interest on the way there? better to drive or take the bus? Then from SJ del Sur we want to go across to SJ del Norte, what is the best way to go? and then to Corn Islands. Does this sound like a good way to visit Nicaragua? Any decent hotels you know of along the way? Is three weeks enough time to do all of this? Suggestions are welcome on all of the above.
Also, it would be nice to stop by and meet some of you guys to get a better perspective on things from people on everyday life in Nicaragua.
