ATM skimmers

There has been a report by the Costa Rica police about ATM skimmers being used in this general area in Central America. These are the devices that are placed in bank machines and pick up your card data from the ATM machine. They also had cameras placed so that could see the pin number.

These were Europeans and the report said there was a well organized group operating. These types of folks move from country to country with their equipment.
They work their way up from Panama into Mexico. Be careful about the machines you use and guard your pin number. We have had experience with these types before, they move fast and take whatever they can.
