Playstation 2 mods?

I brought 2 Playstations from the US on my last trip for two neighbor families in hopes the kids won't always ask to play games on my iPhone and iPad. I know nothing about gaming and it seems they need mods to play pirated discs.

Anyone know where I can get the mods done? I know a couple shops in Huembes work on Playstations but I hope for some references somewhere between Ometepe/Rivas and Managua.
