New Airport construction

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to share an e-mail that I received from a friend (and neighbor) regarding the new airport that is being built near Tola (Department of Rivas). The airport is going to be called Costa Esmeralda Airport and it will accept international flights. It is located between Guacalito de la Isla and Rancho Santana. For all of you that live in the area, this is proof that things in the area are moving in the right direction (like having the new paved road from Tola).
From my stand point, this will help the whole area attract more tourists and expats which will bring additional services to the area. That in turn will help the local people in the area continue to grow and succeed.
Does anyone in this wonderful group live (part or full time) in the area? If so, what are your thoughts and what other improvements are you witnessing?
