Quick Intro

Hi folks,

I'm Scott from Vancouver Island, BC, Canada. I'm heading south in the next 9 months or so and traveling through Central America. I'm trying to turn a hobby of shooting travel docs into a small business and was thinking of settling in Nicaragua for about a year and using it as a home base for trips to CR, Panama, Nicaragua and other CA countries.

I like to shoot off the beaten path travel docs highlighting the culture and people while avoiding anything with the word "resort" in it. Sorry if that sounds snobby.

My main interest in the forum is to research apartment/house rentals, cost of living and to just get a feel for Nicaraguan life. I will probably be looking for something in between the lake and the coast but not in the city. Somewhere like Rivas maybe but who knows. I can't say until I travel around the country a bit.

Anyway, I just wanted to say Hi and thanks in advance to all the people who post so much valuable information here.
