Tucson Footprint Available

My wife and I have decided to move into a six months in Nicaragua/six months in Tucson, Arizona Shelley is a surgical nurse, and has four or five years to retirement. But, she doesn't have to work all year to max her retirement.

We're going to get rid of our house and set ourselves up in a larger RV, in a nice park. This is the one we have in mind:

They have a $3K yearly rental that makes the concept do-able.

What we hope to do, is make the "footprint" for lack of a better word available to someone who would like to do something similar.

There will be a car included, internet, TV; in general, most of what we would have in a house. Other than the electric bill, the monthly price would include everything. The car use (a BMW 325i) would be charged at 25 cents /mile, enough to cover the insurance and upkeep on the vehicle.

We will move our personal items, like clothes into storage.

Tucson has many advantages. Good airport, reasonable cost of living. I have a Medicare Advantage plan through Humana with a ZERO monthly premium. You could get the same plan.

Driving to Nicaragua from Tucson is simple, I've done it several times, and is much safer than going through Texas.

There is quite a bit of casual employment in Tucson. A couple could (both) work, pay the nut I am suggesting and easily save $2k/ month to live the remaining 6 months in Nicaragua.

If we are unable to find a couple who wants to do the six month / six month, then we will make the same arrangement available for lesser periods, say 3 months. If someone had to come back to the US for medical treatment, or just to shop and vacation,, this might be an affordable option. Nicaragua DOES wear on you.

We are NOT looking to make any money on the arrangement. We hope to get the price down to about $500/ month, including the car (plus the actual car mileage) and everything but the electric. This would be less than the price one would pay for a monthly motel. Electric SHOULD be $50/ month, but that is something we cannot control.

If anyone is interested, please email me directly:

Tentatively, we are looking at beginning this at the end of January 2016. This is the nicest time of year in Tucson.

Thanks,

John
