IBW Nicaragua's Superb Lack of Customer Service

Having been living full time in Nicaragua has been the best decision I've made and hoping to gain access to a qualified Internet Service Provider was in the works.

I found and heard of a company called IBW one who seemed to match the quality of service and standard I was used to in the US. Until this point everything was nice and dandy and after contacting them on a Saturday I was immediately taken aback at the way they answered their phones. They did so with a " Alo" which was weird since I was hoping to hear " Hello, this is Someone how can I assist you"?

I proceeded to leave a message with the person I spoke to and explained to him that I needed a reliable ISP and needed service.

I never heard back from anyone at IBW. A month went by and I called again to regret having called after confirming that "Alo" is just how they answer their phones.

I still insisted to get service and got in touch with a man named Roberto who works at the "Internet Services for business section".. and after negotiating a few words we set-up an appointment for him to visit and assess my property for the installation of a 60 foot tower priced at $785.00 to which I had no objections to pay. Everything was fine or so I thought until it was time to sign the contract which wasn't signed by a manager. His signing name was blank.

A week later after signing the contract I got no word of an installation. I kept calling for hours at a time without luck until I got hold of Roberto who would promise again to send the crew to install the so-called tower.

On a Thursday of April of this year they finally called to say they'd come to install the anchors for the tower but not the tower itself. I kept making mention of the signed contract and kept being told... lies and lies about the install.

After waiting for almost 5 days I gave-up and called Roberto to say the deal was off and that I'd sue them. This was enough to get them going but it was too late.

The threats started and kept receiving calls stating I'd have to pay for a tower I didn't even have. I kept pressing and after contacting my lawyer and telling Roberto's boss, the head of the sales department that I had recorded every call I had with them ( I do record every call on my Samsung Note 3 using Total Recall) they backed-off and the deal wa off.

These company has the worst CSR service in the world and contracts only mean something to them when they're earning not otherways.

I highly suggest everyone to seriously consider not doing business with this people. Save yourself a head-ache and possibly a heart-attack.
