House Prices

Question: Has anyone noticed the outrageous real estate prices in Nicaragua? Encuentra24 has many listings, but very few that make any sense from a pricing standpoint. We saw an ad for a house listed at $60,000, an ugly construction on a small lot on what appeared to be a dirt street, with exposed metal roof inside, two small rooms called bedrooms, a crummy little bathroom, and a dim living room that also served as a garage and kitchen, with no ceilings (!) and out back a muddy, filthy yard. I was shocked, really. This is just one example of what appear to be many. What in the world is going on?
