Me, The Wife, The Kids--Gone

I'm looking for a place to live. Have basically had it with the states. I am married, have two children in grammar school, and about $500,000 in savings. As I understand it, the interest on my savings should be enough to keep us going indefinitely. I speak weak Spanish and Fluent English..........is Nicaragua a decent place to raise a family or do I need to tuff it out here until the kids go to college?
