Moving from Honduras Help???

I lived in Honduras and accumulated quite a few household items there that I'm now transporting to Nicaragua with the help of a friend from Honduras who has a small moving truck. So the actual transportation is taken care of.

My concern is taxes and getting everything across the border. I've had the hardest time finding information about transporting personal items across the border. Everything I've found is either about shipping things or commercial goods.

I'm an expat from the States, but my husband is Nicaraguan and will be going with me.

Anybody know about the procedure for moving personal household goods into the country? My husband thinks we might need something official from a laywer saying who owns the stuff... And I haven't found anything about taxes. Will we have to pay a fee for crossing the border with a truck?

Any help is greatly appreciated!!! Thanks!
