Our Managua Hotels will Remain Open Regardless of Revenue

Some Managua Hotels (Mansion, Seminole, etc.) are closing and refusing reservations because occupancy is low. The hotels that do this cancel the reservations without advanced notice to the clients.

Our three affiliate hotels commit to stay open through the end of 2018 at normal prices. If there is an emergency at our Art Hotel Managua location, guests can switch to our airport hotels, although Art Hotel has had no disruption so far.

1. Art Hotel Managua www.arthotelmanagua.com 2250-0075. Parque Las Palmas, near Casa Violeta Chamorro and Hospital Salud Integral. All rooms have private bathroom, air conditioning, etc. Swimming pool is open. Full breakfast included. Drinks available 24 hours. Backup gasoline generator for electricity, but not air conditioners.

2. Airport X Managua, Residencial Montecristi, km 10.5 carretera norte, 5 minutes from the airport. www.airportxmanagua.com 2225-4430. Restaurant open 24 hours. Breakfast included from 4am until 10am. We just installed a 200kva generator which will be working Monday and maintain 30000 litres of pressurized backup water. Our drivers are on duty 24 hours. Airport pickup $5, airport dropoff $3.

3. Airport Inn,Managua, across the street from Airport X, www.airportinnmanagua.com 2225-4430 features "mini rooms" which all have a bunk bed with matrimonial on the bottom and a single on top. All rooms have air conditioning, private bathroom, propane hot water shower backed up by solar. Rooms range from $30 for 1 person, $33 for 2, $36 for 3. The cable TV has not yet been installed, so ask for a free breakfast at the Airport X to compensate.

4. Our drivers are available during low flight activity times to perform pickups in Managua to the airport for $15, even if you are staying at competing hotels. Please email the hotel at airportxmanagua(at)gmail(dot)com to arrange the service. You can prepay with paypal, a credit card, or pay the driver. All of our vehicles are equipped with GPS. By the end of next week we are going to install safety glass on all vehicles.
