Hello, first time posting here, I am interested in starting a forwarding business from Miami to Nicaragua, I am located near several shipping agencies as well as the airport. I would like to know the process one must go through in order to do the following completely legal. I would take requests from customers in Nicaragua and purchase the items for them, have them shipped here, offer consolidation as well as get quotes for shipping from different agencies or methods, Requests can be via email, or through social media(Whatsapp,Facebook,Instagram,etc) The agencies near me offer Air and Ocean freight, USPS,FedEx,UPS, and DHL are also within 10 minutes from my location. In addition to this, I also have a neighbor that is almost always traveling via Spirit Airlines and brings their cargo with them and delivers it door to door in Nicaragua, but for a higher cost. I am interested in starting small with shared LCL and thinking my uncle can pick up the cargo from the port of Nicaragua (10 minutes from his house) and then either hold the items for pickup or deliver them to a location in Nicaragua for a cost. Does anybody have any input on this or how should I proceed to get this running? I know this will take time, but I would like to know the proper direction on how to proceed to see if I can get this to work.
