International roaming

Hi guys, I just got here 2 days ago.
Before coming I did switch on international roaming with my mobile phone company in Australia.
The roaming was working in the countries where I was changing planes, the last one was Mexico.
After landing in Managua I don't have it anymore, the mobile signal is zero, connection icon shows nothing. I can't get any text messages.
Vodafone Australia lists Nicaragua as supported country.
Did anyone of you had roaming problems?
