Can a spouse work

Hi,

My wife has been offered a teaching job in Brunei starting in July. If I accompany her will I be allowed to look for work? The contract of employment for my wife does not seem to give a straight answer on this. If I am not allowed to work then I may consider staying in my home country and only visit during the holidays.
