British expat murdered in Dominica

I talked to one of my friends in the island and told me about a 51 year old british woman who was killed in Calibishie while taking an afternoon stroll.

What a sad sad news. If anyone here knew her well I offer my condolencies to her friends and family.

This concerns all of us. I am planning on returning permanently to stay this june. I am looking for land to start my own business and was considering Calibishie. Last year locals told me it was becoming more and more dangerous there.

I am starting to believe they were right? Or do you think this is an isolated incident?
