How much savings to live in St. Lucia for 1 year

I plan to move to st.lucia.. I was supposed to move last summer but something came up and ive decided to postpone as well as save up some more. My partner lives there already..we have an apartment and a car. I wouldn't need a work permit as I sorted my citizenship (my parents were born in St. Lucia). I work in a private nursery and have done for some years now..also have done nannying. Ive heard of expats moving down and looking for nannies etc but don't know of anyone at the moment who is looking for one..would also have to try my luck seeing if I can get a job in a school or daycare. If I was to save an amount to see me through for lets say upto 1 year in the event that I couldn't find work..how much roughly should I be looking at saving? I have a 5 year old child btw so will also be looking at schools. I like the look of dame pearlette but no idea if it is oversubscribed like alot of the other popular schools over there
